50 things – The Stackpole Edition (and the winners are…)

Thursday was a very exciting day for our family.  Why?  The Stackpole edition of our 50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4 journey was released.

You might remember that we visited the National Trust Wales’ Stackpole Estate in Pembrokeshire a few weekends ago to complete filming for the second of four promotional videos for the #50things campaign.  While we were there we completed some amazing activities.

We completed:

#4 – Build a den
#5 – Skim a stone
#12 – Make a trail with sticks
#16 – Make a daisy chain
#18 – Create some wild art
#20 – Jump over waves
#24 – Go on a walk barefoot
#37 – Check out the crazy creatures in a rock pool
#39 – Catch a crab
#47 – Cook on a campfire

However, not all of these are documented in the film; you can see which ones are by watching the video.  Please excuse my rambling, and I normally wear my glasses so it’s rather strange seeing me without them.

The experience of the filming was memorable… Mim, our wonderful guide for the day, made the experience work to our full advantage… I almost cried when it came to the end of the day.

On the back of our wonderful weekend, National Trust Wales gave The Musing Housewife FIVE family day passes to give away.  The competition closed last night and now it is time to give you the four answers.
